Mixed Fruit Enzyme - Day 1 and Day 7

Day 1
A week After



This time, i used left over fruits from fridge. Most blogger encourage to use fresh fruit instead but i guest no harm to try . The fruits i used are as follow:-
1) 2 oranges
2) 3 kiwis
3) 3 apples
4) 2 lemons
5) 4 pcs of brown sugar bar


Make sure the air tight glass container, knife and chopping board are dry. Put in the fruits immediately after cut then follow by the brown sugar bar. At last put the lemon at the upper layer. Air tight the container lid. Ensure to shake(rock and roll) the glass container everyday. Remember to open the lid after 3 days the fruits fermented. Then close back the lid and continue shaking the container everyday for 2 weeks before harvesting.

Day 12 menu


Fried Chicken With 腐乳 Fu-Chung Bean Curd+ 五香粉Rempah Ratu
1)Marinate 10pcs chicken with a small cube of fu-chung bean curd + 1.5 teaspoon of rempah ratu + 1 table spoon of sugar + 1 tea spoon of salt + Corn flour.

2) Heat up oil in a wok and then deep fry the chicken until light brown.


Fried Ikan bilis with onion

1)Heat up oil in wok and fry ikan bilis until crispy then dish out.

2) Use the remaining oil to fry onion and cili paste

3) Pour in life cili sauce in the wok + 1 table spoon sugar + a bit of water

4) Add in the fried ikan bilis

5) Stir well and dish out.

The Harvesting Of My DIY Dragon Fruit Enzyme


before open up the lid , i doubt why there are so much of bubbles at the final stage. I noticed the enzyme done by my friend was quite clear compare to mine.

Exactly 2 weeks from 070909 to 200909, i open up the lid of the container.
The smell is a bit sour ....!!!
Ah gu asking me in doubt, " Can this thing be consumed??".... Hehe...I told him to be a white mouse before letting our chidren to try on it.
I sieve the contains a few times to thinner down the juices before pouring it into a glass bottle.

My dragon fruit enzyme is really sweet, i think this is because the dragon fruit itself is sweet and the sugar bar that i add in is too much. The right ratio should be 3 - 1. Mine one is 3 - 1.5.

I store the enzyme in the fridge.

After an hour in the fridge, i open up the lid and smell it. It really smells good like red wine.

I pour a table spoon with some ice cube into a small glass. My daughter take a sip of it and ......

..........she is asking for "more".


Well, If everybody is ok after consume my homemade enzyme. .....................

White membrane grow in Dragon Fruit Enzyme

After a week, i found some white membrane grow on the surface of my diy dragon fruit enzyme. I quickly asked my buddy at http://coffeeforjoy.blogspot.com/, she said hers also the same after a few days the fruits fermented. She then told me that i need to shake the glass container to ensure the top layer always in wet condition to avoid the white menbrane grow. Another friend told me that white membrane is good,and it is not mouldy , it is just like the SKII.....!!!!

I still worry and keep on asking myself whether it can be consumed after 2 weeks?

It says, If there is a white membrane, do not worry as it is a normal occurrence of bacteria activity that forms during fermentation.

Alright, wait and see what will happen next ..... The harvesting of my diy dragon fruit enzyme.

Dragon Fruit Enzyme


How to make Dragon fruit enzyme?

Easy! I Straight away copy the way of how to do it from my buddy's blog http://coffeeforjoy.blogspot.com/.

1) Buy an air tight glass container from Ikea cost RM12.90

2) Ensure the container is totally dry

3) Cut dragon Fruit into pieces

4) Put a layer of cut dragon fruits then follow by a pc of brown sugar in rectangular shape

5) Continue step 4 until the container is 3 quarter full

6) Close the air tight cover and thats it
